What is your job title?
Project & Solution Delivery Specialist.
Where are you from originally?
Cape Town, South Africa. My partner and I moved to New Zealand last year after having loved the country on some previous visits.
What is your career background? What specialist skills or passion points do you have in your work?
My career background is in network engineering, project management, and service
delivery management. I’ve worked across many technology service providers throughout my career after starting in 1999 on the UUNET Internet Africa helpdesk.
I’m certified in Juniper and Cisco network technologies.
How will you be supporting Devoli's customers in your role?
I will be engaging with internal teams and end customers to formulate the best communication, turnaround times, escalations, and service delivery possible. I’ll be making use of an agile way of working to best meet the needs of our customers.
It may be a different country, but the offering of services is the same. It’s the delivery of those services that sets companies apart and I'll be focused on elevating that for Devoli.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love travelling, that is what got me over to New Zealand in the first place in 2017. Road trips are on my to-do list, especially up to Coromandel.
What are you enjoying most about Devoli so far?
Enjoying the friendly, helpful, and supportive atmosphere in the office. Someone is always happy to answer my questions and queries.
What are you looking forward to most about 2025?
Spending time with our New Zealand family. Meeting, working, and seeing as much of New Zealand as possible and experiencing its culture first hand.
